To help us to effectively implement and maintain our combined management system, we need to clearly define who is responsible for what.
Managing Director:
Spencer Slee provides the overall direction of the business and its subsidiary brands and in ensuring that they display the highest environmental and quality standards. January 2015 saw the Implementation of the lean project utilising 5s system developed in Japan renowned for one of the techniques that enabled “Just in Time” manufacturing. This system was completed in the factory in Dec 2015 and will follow through to the office in 2016/17.
Customer Service Manager:
Paul Richards is responsible for planning, monitoring and measuring, and reviewing of the combined system for the area of the business that services indirect clients. Additionally the role of ensuring customers are provided with the highest level of service and being on hand to rectify any problems is also headed up by Dan.
Technical Director:
Jeff Birch is responsible for planning, monitoring and measuring, and reviewing of the combined system within online development and the technical infrastructure of the business. Jeff also oversees the implementation of online systems. He ensures that systems are built to the customer requirements.
Operations Manager & ISO Management Representative:
Adam Housego is the Management Representative and is responsible for the day to day implementation and management of the combined management system, and reporting on the performance of the Print Evolved Combined Management System. In addition Adam is responsible for all materials purchasing, Health & Safety, Fire Prevention/Monitoring and building maintenance.
Finance Manager:
Maria Slater has overall responsibility for the accounts department with the assistance of Stephanie Preville (Forrest) who also is responsible for HR matters. Maria communicates directly with suppliers to ensure on-going performance.
Pre-press Manager:
David Gough is responsible for ensuring that customer orders are handled correctly to minimise waste and maximise the efficiency of the system. He is responsible for planning, monitoring and measuring, and reviewing of the combined system within the pre-press area of the business.
Press Room Manager:
Elio Prati is responsible for the routine maintenance and correct operation of all digital presses, the correct and safe use of chemicals and ensuring that there is the minimum amount of waste paper balanced with producing quality work. He is responsible for all work being printed to the required specification. He is responsible for planning, monitoring and measuring, and reviewing of the combined system within the print area of the business. This includes supplying daily information for a lean project KPIs.
Works Manager:
John Burns is responsible for the routine maintenance and correct operation of all Litho presses and for ensuring that all work is printed to the required specification. Elio & John also look after routine maintenance and correct operation of all finishing equipment and ensure that all work is finished to the required specification. He is responsible for planning, monitoring and measuring, and reviewing of the combined system within the Finishing area of the business.
Elio & John are responsible for planning, monitoring and measuring, and reviewing of the combined system within the Print Production & Finishing area of the business.
Despatch Supervisor:
Parminder Bhuller ensures that all products are despatched by the most efficient way possible balancing speed of delivery with environmental impact. He is responsible for ensuring that the final product are despatched on the agreed date to the required address. He is responsible for planning, monitoring and measuring, and reviewing of the combined system within the despatch area of the business.
All staff:
The correct disposal of all waste and using all resources in a responsible manner. All staff are responsible for ensuring they adhere to the Print Evolved quality and environmental policy.
